GSAP will combine state-of-the-art technologies in aeroponics, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Edge Computing to establish the first aeroponic cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants and stevia in a pilot greenhouse which will provide: • mass production of products of high organoleptic value, with minimal use of water, nutrients and energy, no use of pesticides and minimal environmental burden • healthy working conditions • automatic monitoring of the smart greenhouse operation using IoT technology • remote management using IoT technology. All the above aim to meet the world-wide consumer trend for natural, healthy food products.
