Rezos Brands coordinates the MSCA-RISE project FRIETS

On 13-14 September 2021“FRIETS” Kick – off meeting was successfully conducted on the premises of the Coordinator Rezos Brands, in Patras, Greece.

“FRIETS – Sustainable optimization of the value chain of added-value fresh and dried berries through the integration of Precision Agriculture management strategies and innovative dehydration and edible coating” is a MSCA-RISE-2020 Research and Innovation Staff Exchange project, funded with the amount of 2.433.400 EUR. FRIETS aims to develop and market personalized, nutritious, innovative, and of extended shelf-life fruit snacks containing no added sugar, sodium or chemical preservatives, as a palatable way to increase daily fruit consumption. FRIETS smart snacks will be based on minimally processed berries of superior quality and nutritional characteristics. FRIETS implementation will be based on staff secondments, strengthening collaborative research among 5 different countries and sectors.
